What Was 79' Fever?

79' Fever was the end of an era.  Taking place January, 1979, in San Diego,

California, the Westinghouse Corporation decided to celebrate in high style.  Robert Sands and his associates created one-of-a-kind numbered silkscreen posters, an LP album cover (with 79' Fever Soundtrack), invitations, designed each of the staging elements, and the company paid for airline tickets for its employees that included custom luggage tags and belt buckles designed by Sands!

The album cover

designed by Sands was created using neon lamps created

in Pittsburgh's

Southside.
